Conference in Trieste, december 2-3, 2010

The National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics - OGS and ARPA Friuli Venezia Giulia, in collaboration with the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, organize a two-day conference to assess changes in the marine ecosystem resulting from the Gulf of Trieste 'analysis of long time series of meteorological and oceanographic data. Italian experts will participate in the conference, together with Slovenes and Croats, from scientific institutions and regional agencies for the protection of the environment.  Ample space will be given to the relations between the Gulf and the northern Adriatic basin.
In a panel discussion, open to researchers, administrators and decision makers of the sectors concerned, we will discuss possible future scenarios for the ecosystem of the Gulf of Trieste following the changes observed in the analysis of long time series.
