Launching of the NAUTILOS project

NAUTILOS - New Approach to Underwater Technologies for Innovative, Low-cost Ocean observation, funded under the H2020 - the Future of Seas and Oceans Flagship Initiative, officially started on the 1st of October 2020. The project, coordinated by CNR-ISTI, brings together a significant group of 21 entities from 11 European countries and also involves a group of researchers of CNR-ISMAR coordinated by Stefania Sparnocchia, with Giuseppe Suaria, Silvia Merlino and Stefano Aliani. ISMAR will deal in particular with validation and scientific support to the development and integration of new sensors and innovative technologies for the acquisition of new environmental variables, including macro- and micro-plastics, from traditional systems and ships of opportunity.

The kick off meeting will be held virtually on the 21st – 22nd of October 2020.
