East China Sea Fisheries Research Institute (ECSFRI), Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences (CAFS) and CNR – ISMAR of Ancona, started a basic framework for cooperative researches on energy saving in trawl fisheries. As a first task of the collaboration, two researchers from ECSFRI visited the CNR in Ancona from 9 to 12 of December. The visit focused on the description and detailed analysis of the energy monitoring systems for fishing vessels developed by the fishing technology unit of CNR-ISMAR in Ancona, in order to assist the Chinese research institute on the acquisition and implementation of similar monitoring system for Chinese fishing vessels. The collaboration is of great importance as both parties intend to conduct bilateral cooperation in the fields, in which both are interested. It is expected that such researches would lay a foundation for formal researching cooperation in the future. In the picture: Nella foto, from the right, dott.
