The demise of Giovanni Bortoluzzi
It disappears with him an important part of the history of the CNR-Ismar

We all feel great sorrow over the sudden death of Giovanni Bortoluzzi whose disappearance I receive heartfelt communication from the Head of the Office of Bologna Sonia Albertazzi
The death occurred yesterday (5 October) while working in his studio, in Institute in Bologna, after a day spent reposition the mark E1 in the Adriatic.
No one like Giovanni has worked in various forms with colleagues from all offices of ISMAR, many Institutes of CNR and other bodies. Giovanni leaves a huge void in all of us not only for what it was (a lot, geophysics physical oceanography, data management) but to the spirit in which he did and how he took on his shoulders the commitments in all fields.
Giovanni will be missed by all of us and only now we will fully realize how much he really did for us all.
