Capotondi Lucilla
Degree in Geological Sciences, University of Bologna (1986); studies in stable isotope geochemistry at the Laboratoire d'Oceanographie Dynamique et de Climatologie CNRS - Université P. et M. Curie Paris (1987-1990); PhD in Earth Sciences, University of Parma (1992). Research scientist at the National Research Council - ISMAR Marine Geology Section -BO since 2001.
She has done researches on biostratigraphy, paleoceanography and paleoclimate using planktonic foraminifera (quantitative study and geochemical analysis). Most of her research is performed on marine sediments from Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean and Antarctica. The major research topics are: Neogene bio-chronostratigraphy; paleoceanographic evolution of the Mediterranean during the Quaternary (focus on sapropel layers); late Quaternary high-frequency climatic cycles and recently paleoseismology and environmental micropaleontology.
