Madricardo Fantina
Her main interest is in underwater acoustics and shallow water geophysics applied to geomorphology, benthic habitat mapping and the study of anthropogenic impacts on the seabed in coastal areas. In particular, her research is aimed at 1) including the past and recent evolution of the morphology of the seabed in lagoon and delta environments thanks to repeated geophysical and morphobathymetric surveys; 2) quantitatively stimulate the human footprint on the seabed and 3) the incidence of submarine noise in the Adriatic Sea; 4) semi-automatic algorithms and research objects for the analysis of acoustic data and images derived from them. Currently scientific coordinator of the EASME / EMFF / 2017 / 1.2.1.12 / S2 / 05 / SI2.789314 - "marGnet" project - Mapping and recycling of marine waste and phantom networks on the seabed and scientific responsible for ISMAR of the SOUNDSCAPE project. Soundscape in the northern Adriatic Sea and their impact on marine biological resources. Sheis also involved in the H2020 ENDURUNS project - Development and demonstration of a long lasting sea for the detection of an autonomous unmanned vehicle with sliding capacity powered by hydrogen fuel cells and in the research program for a "regulated" lagoon - Venice 2021. She has also been recently involved in the project H2020 EVEREST, Interreg Med AMAre and Life GHOST
