Mantovani Carlo

Carlo Mantovani holds a Master's degree in Physics from University of Parma, Italy. He is Research Technologist since 2006, working at the National Institute for the Physics of Matter (INFM) first and at the Institute of Marine Sciences (CNR-ISMAR) from 2009. After several years working in the field of science communication and dissemination, mainly at the INFM, in 2009 he moves at the CNR-ISMAR and in 2011 he starts collaborating with the physical oceanography group in Lerici led by Annalisa Griffa. Since 2013 he is manager of CNR-ISNAR High Frequency (HF) Radar infrastructure.
Currently his main interest and activity are the management and the development of the CNR-ISMAR HF Radar infrastructure for ocean current measurements within national and European projects focused on environmental issues (oil spill mitigation, connectivity between marine protected areas, fisheries management), including data delivery in standard and interoperable format.
He is member of Eurogoos HF Radar Task Team and has coordination roles in several tasks of national and European research projects.
Past work has been related to the design and implementation of educational tools for science dissemination, including web games and animations, scientific exhibits and exhibitions, educational laboratories for schools.
