Degree in physics at the University of Pisa.
Ph. D. In Astrophysics and elementary particles at the University of Granada - Spain (1997 - 2000), Post-Doc at the University of Parma (2000-2001), Researcher at the INFM (2001 - 2009), now CNR Researcher in the ISMAR Institute.
Her scientific activity until 2009 touched two main fields: “Astrophysics – Galaxy Evolution” and “Didactics and Popularization of Physics”, and from 2009 also Physical Oceanography. She is author and co-author of scientific papers and multimedia courses on CD-ROM, awarded by national and international prix, organizer of many scientific festivals and outreach activities, and responsible of scientific contents and multimedia tools of the Interactive Scientific Museum Arkimedeion in Siracusa (Sicily, Italy).
She has been member of the INFM Research Group for Didactics and Popularization of Physics (2001 – 2009) and, in the same period,  of the staff and scientific editorial board of the Genova Science Festival. Currently he conducts research in the field of marine science and physical oceanography, sustainable boating, and she is actively involved in projects of outreach and scientific education, through actions ranging from citizen science to non-formal teaching and learning programmes. She is member of the Working Group for Science and Education of La Spezia.

Author and co-author of scientific papers as well as multimedia scientific courses, scientific documentary and scientific museum ‘ contents.
