INTERESTS

Her researches have been mostly focused on planktonic Foraminifera mainly of the Quaternary in sediment cores and water samples from Mediterranean Sea and Antarctica. Major Research topics: 1) Ecology and paleoecology of planktonic foraminifers; 2) Relationship between distribution of recent planktonic foraminifers and the different water masses (interpretation of hydrologic datas); 3) Paleoclimatology and stable isotopes (carbon and oxigen) in shells of foraminifers (recent and fossils); 4) Trace elements in shells of foraminifers and implication in reconstructing paleoenvironments

ACTIVITY

Sailed on a number of scientific cruises between 2004-2010.
Quantitative and qualitative micropaleontology of living and fossil specimens of planktonic foraminifers in sediment cores and water samples.
Analytical and cleaning techniques for measuring trace elements using ICP-MS and LA-ICP-MS.
Stable Isotope geochemistry.
