MA in Environmental Sciences (1999), PhD in Environmental Sciences (2004). Research scientist at the National Research Council since 2008. Her research interests are: (a) fluxes and processes in aquatic environment with radioactive tracers; b) contamination history and pollution in marine coastal areas; c) environmental modelling and d) paleoenvironmental changes as evidenced by geochemical proxies.
- Sampling of soils, sediments (with SW-104 corer) water and suspended particles (Large Volume Filtrations);
- Analysis of selected natural radiotracers (234Th, 238U, 210Po and 210Pb) on water, sediments and suspended particles from coastal and open ocean areas;
- Analysis of selected anthropogenic radiotracers (137Cs, 238Pu and 239+240Pu) on samples of organic and inorganic origin, from marine and terrestrial areas;
- Analysis of stable isotopic composition (δ18O, δ13C and δ15N) of fossil diatom frustules and organic matter;
- Mineralogical and grain size analyses of marine and coastal sediments.
She wrote several scientific papers in JCR journals (at present: 11 published/in press, 7 submitted, 4 as first author) and in international/national press (14 non-JCR international journals, 4 national publications, 17 abstract and posters).
