INTERESSI

Studio di lagune ed altri corpi d’acqua di bassa profondità attraverso l’applicazione di modelli numerici, prevalentemente nel campo dell’idrodinamica e del trasporto dei sedimenti. Sviluppo di strumenti numerici specialmente adatti per questo scopo.

Altri interessi:

  • Previsione numerica di acqua alta nel mare Adriatico e nella laguna di Venezia;
  • Interazione laguna-mare e quantità di scambio;
  • Tempi di residenza e scale di trasporto che caratterizzano lagune ed altri bacini semi-chiusi;
  • Training di scienziati da paesi in via di sviluppo nel campo della modellistica numerica
ATTIVITÀ
  • Sviluppo di una suite di modelli numerici specialmente addatti per corpi d’acqua poco profondi come lagune o la zona costiera
  • Editore ospite di un uscita speciale di Continental Shelf Research su “Inlet Dynamics”, 2009; Referee di giornali e proceedings: Journal of Marine Systems, Continental Shelf Research, Estuarine, Coastal and Shelf Science, Ecological Modelling
