ADRIACLIM project kick-off meeting

The Kick-off meeting of the project AdriaClim - Climate change information, monitoring and management tools for adaptation strategies in Adriatic coastal areas - was held on June 29th and 30th. Due to specific situation, the Kick off meeting was organized online.   
AdriaClim is the acronym of the new research project funded by the Italy-Croatia Interreg Cooperation Programme that is dedicated to supporting the development of science-based regional and local climate change adaptation plans.
Coordinated by Agenzia Regionale per la Prevenzione lAmbiente e lenergia of the Emilia-Romagna region, AdriaClim involves 19 partners and brings together research institutes, universities, institutions, and business from the two countries, Italy and Croatia.

After brief presentation of each participant and their organization,  the first day was dedicated to introduction of AdriaClim: general presentation of the project and Gantt, technical Work  packages WP3, WP4 and WP5, activities and deliverables.  Second day off Kick-off was dedicated to WP1 (Management and administrative aspects) and WP2 (Communication). After discussion and questions, project members formed Steering Committee. In order to start this project on the appropriate level, the members of the Steering Committee have agreed to provide the project management with a list of networks and institutions which should be contacted in matters of expertise, events and policy issues.
