THREDDS Workshop

The THREDDS workshop held by Vega Forneris from the  Global Ocean Satellite monitoring and marine ecosystem study unit (now part of the CNR-ISMAR) will be held on 17-18 January at the ISMAR headquarters in Venice.

The workshop is organized as part of the ADRION I-STORMS project (Integrated Sea Management Strategy Strategies) and will be, intentionally, very technical and operational.

● Module A: THREDDS Introduction, data formats, examples
○ THREDDS architecture
○ Data catalogues and interoperable standards
○ Example of THREDDS-based operational implementation (including weakness and bottlenecks)
○ Data and metadata formats (netCDF)
● Module B: THREDDS installation, configuration, maintenance, administration.
○ THREDDS installation (including common issues)
○ Basic configuration
○ Advanced configuration (e.g. ncML)
○ Web interoperable services (especially DAP, WMS, NCSS)
○ TDS/data interactions, and common issues
