Rising temperatures could create a tsunami in the Arctic

Tsunamis such as those that hit Sumatra and Japan have nothing to do with climate change. They are geological phenomena. 'However, the process of rising temperatures in the Arctic region is able to produce a series of events that connect the thaw with the giant waves', explained Angelo Camerlenghi, a researcher who will participate this year and in 2013 shipments in''Arctic to assess the risk of this chain of events.
