Following the growing partecipation in the first two editions, the 2011 event will see the cooperation of many research centres and local governaments to celebrate 150 years since Unification of Italy. Bologna opens the show / exhibit "A Matter of... chemistry"

Night of the researchers. September 2011 in 15 italian cities

For the 2011 Event  the community of Everyday Science has been  enlarged to other Italian cities and regions with the collaboration of many research institutions and local governments that will accompany us into the new adventure. We will celebrate with 150 of the unification of our country with specific initiatives.

The number of cities participating in the event of September 23, 2011 is doubled to as many as 15, from north to south of the peninsula. Bologna is the central event and will turn on the lights of the Researchers' Night in conjunction with Ferrara, Salerno, Verona, Cagliari, Faenza, Cosenza, Asiago, Pavia, Naples Capodimonte, Lerici, Pisa, Teramo, Piacenza and Catania.

As part of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, at the initiative of the National Research Council and the Association of Science Festival, with the aim to review and enhance the advancement of scientific research in the country within the project "150 years of science," have been identified some issues that will be offered in various cities before they join the 2011 edition of:

 Festival della Scienza  (Genova, 21 october - 2 November)

The theme identified for the city of Bologna is CHEMISTRY, undisputed leader with the exhibition: "A Matter of Chemistry ..."
The exhibition will open on September 23, 2011 in conjunction with

THE NIGHT OF THE RESEARCHERS

which will be part of a scientific walk in the heart of the city.
