He has done research work in clastic and volcanoclastic sedimentology, mainly in the deep-water environment. His research interests are focussed on the study of modern deep-water clastic turbidite systems through interpretation of multibeam bathymetric and side-scan sonar data, chirp, and cores. Currently his work is direct to the interpretation of 3D seismic data set along continental margins, using seismic geomorphology methodologies.
