Laurea in Geology (2003), PhD in Earth Sciences (2007) at University of Bologna in collaboration with ISMAR-Bologna with Fabiano Gamberi and Michael Marani. Research fellowship at the ISMAR-Bolofna since 2007. Temporary research scientist at ISMAR-Bologna since 2009. He has done research work in clastic and volcanoclastic sedimentology, mainly in the deep-water environment. His research interests are focussed on the study of modern deep-water clastic turbidite systems through interpretation of multibeam bathymetric and side-scan sonar data, chirp, and cores. Currently his work is direct to the interpretation of 3D seismic data set along continental margins, using seismic geomorphology methodologies.
