She graduated with a Master equivalent degree in political sciences in 2006 and started in 2007 a PhD in sociology. She is fluent in English and French and has studied Spanish.

In 1992, she successfully organised and managed the first Italian conference on fullerene, held in Bologna showing her skill and potential for managing scientific meetings and conferences.
She has been the Organization Manager for the CNR Research Area Conference Centre in Bologna since it opened in 1996. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the Conference Centre including event planning, meeting consultation and organisation, personnel-staff coordination, the functional, structural and aesthetic maintenance of the building, and the styling and update of the Centre website. In addition she manages public and private client relations with the Centre within a commercial framework and has organized "Porte Aperte sulla Ricerca”, a series of public outreach events held at Bologna CNR Area in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002.
