Luchetta Anna
Degree in Chemistry (1985), researcher from 1988 at ISMAR Trieste (chemical oceanography), she has carried out research on marine biogeochemistry. In particular on biogeochemical cycling of nutrients and dissolved oxygen in the Eurasian sector of the Arctic Ocean (mainly focusing on surface productive layers) and in the eastern Mediterranean Sea (mainly focusing on deep waters). More recently, scientific interests have concerned both the biogeochemistry of marine carbonate system and the relation with the gradual increase of CO2 in the ocean. Ocean Acidification, in particular. She has participated into 17 Scientific Cruises (1988-2008) in the Arctic Ocean and in the Mediterranean (Adriatic, Ionian and eastern Mediterranean seas). Since January 2008, she has been taking care of the biogeochemical time series in the centre of the Gulf of Trieste, which is one of the very few pH and TA time series already in course in the Mediterranean. She wrote about 30 papers between referred journals (14 ISI), referred books (2), referred white papers (2), technical reports(8) and other journals. She has contributed to more than 45 meetings (24 international, 18 national) with published abstracts.
