Alvisi Francesca
Laurea cum laude in Geological Sciences (1988), PhD in Earth Sciences (1993) at the University of Bologna (Bologna, Italy). Now research scientist at the National Research Council since 2004 at the Institute of Marine Sciences in Bologna. She worked for around 10 years in sedimentology, stratigraphy, geochemistry and palinology of alluvial and lacustrine environments aimed at the paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatological reconstruction of the study areas. In 1996, she began to collaborate with the NRC also studying coastal and shelf marine environment. She is involved in the study of marine depositional phenomena at the sediment-water interface at different space and temporal scales, of biogeochemical fluxes, of recent and present marine sedimentary processes and of their interaction with the human impact and the climate.
