Il progetto “ArtReefs” intende promuovere l’utilizzo delle barriere artificiali come strumento versatile per fornire una risposta a sfide comuni nelle Regioni Mar Mediterraneo e Mar Nero, quali il degrado ambientale e i conflitti spaziali tra le attività antropiche che hanno luogo nella zona costiera.
ArtReefs propone l’utilizzo di barriere artificiali, progettate sulla base di criteri tecnico-scientifici e di specifiche esigenze territoriali, al fine di contribuire allo sviluppo sostenibile del turismo e alla Crescita Blu, integrando la protezione dell'ambiente all'interno di piani di gestione condivisi.
